PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Greetings Everyone!
Are we all excited that spring is on the way? Its been a long winter!
A couple quick reminders:
- Our annual scholarship applications are out with the schools and are due by April 17th. We are offering 2 $1000 scholarships and 1 Becker CPA course scholarship. We look forward to announcing the winner at our May dinner meeting.
- Also, at our April dinner meeting, we will work on coordinating carpools and room shares for the NW regional conference in Bellingham on May 14. We also have membership funds allocated to covering some of the conference costs. Please let me know if you are interested in attending!
We encourage each of our members to attend the conference! See you in April.

APRIL SPEAKER: Patricia Graf Hoke
Topic: What it takes to be a successful entrepreneur and offer marketing tactics most small businesses overlook.
Patricia Graf-Hoke is a life long entrepreneur who has been running her own business since age 18 starting with a small, monthly newspaper in Pioneer Square. By age 38, she was CEO of a Seattle-based advertising agency with a staff of 14 and more than a million dollars in billings. In addition to overseeing strategic marketing programs for dozens of local and regional clients, she also directed several statewide public service campaigns and received numerous industry and creative awards.
Patricia subsequently relocated her company to Kitsap County where she was instrumental in promoting the revitalization of downtown Bremerton and launching a self-sustaining nonprofit business that employs people with special needs. Today she mentors and provides consulting services to women in business and those seeking elected office. Working with her husband, she also conducts marketing workshops for small businesses, women in business, and nonprofit organizations throughout the Northwest and Alaska.
Patricia is an avid photographer, hiker and has traveled extensively including a two-month solo sabbatical to Thailand, India and Nepal. She was named a Woman of Achievement by the Kitsap YWCA and has served on boards and foundations. Patricia has raised three children including two with special needs, and currently lives in Bremerton with her husband and business partner of thirty years.
